Make usable roof space count

High-output panels, a battery and a charger, specified together.

Where roof area or appearance matters, the choice of panel matters too. We weigh high-output and all-black options against the shape of the roof, then add storage and charging if you want them.

Solar Panels

High-output and all-black panel options, laid out to suit the roof you actually have, whether space or appearance is the priority.

The finish

The finish is specified, not left to the day.

Cable routes, inverter and battery positions, panel symmetry and mounting are all agreed at the survey.

Big interwar roofs and listed streets both get a survey that fits.

Surrey's commuter towns hold plenty of 1920s and 30s mock-Tudor detached houses, alongside grander Victorian villas and newer executive homes. Pitch, roof area and tile type decide how a layout is drawn up. Homes inside the Surrey Hills National Landscape, or in a listed town centre such as Guildford or Farnham, may be subject to planning rules that do not apply elsewhere, and we raise that at enquiry, before anything is quoted.

Payment options

Premium does not have to mean one large upfront payment.

Keep the specification. Change the payment route. Choosing monthly payments should not mean choosing a lower-quality system, so we compare the same proposed system across the purchase and finance routes available.

Cash

Buy outright

Pay the full price up front and the system is yours from the start.

Monthly

Monthly payments

Fixed monthly repayments, for those who qualify. Choosing a longer term reduces each repayment but increases what you repay overall.

Routes

Nothing upfront, or 0%

Qualifying homes can start without paying anything upfront, and short 0% offers appear on selected products from time to time. We cover both once the specification is agreed.

Check current local availability.

Selected area-based installation offers may be available where scheduling allows. Add your postcode when you ask for your system options and we will say whether one applies.

Finance is subject to status, affordability and lender approval. The installation team behind Surrey Solar acts as a credit broker, not a lender. Asking about payment options is not a finance application and will not touch your credit file.

Battery storage

Battery storage for commuter households.

Panels produce most around midday, when many Surrey households are on a train or at a desk. A battery keeps that daytime generation for the evening, when everyone is home and the oven, lights and television are on.

  • Evening demand.Stored solar supplies the busiest hours of the household day instead of being exported for very little.
  • Sized to your routine.A home that is empty until half past six needs a different battery from one with someone in all day.
  • A tidy fit.The battery goes where it is least intrusive and keeps cable runs short, which is agreed at the survey.

Roof size, panel count and battery all differ here, because each home asked for something different.

Figures are the estimated first-year benefit calculated for each customer's own system at the time of installation, based on MCS-standard assessment methodology. They are estimates, not guarantees, so actual savings vary with household usage, weather and electricity prices.

What happens next

Ask for your options, then decide in your own time.

01

Describe the property

Share details of the roof, the household's usage pattern and any battery or charger on your mind.

02

We review it

We judge whether the roof merits a survey and may follow up to fill in a gap or two.

03

Survey, then options

A surveyor visits, and your options then detail the panels, layout, expected output, warranty cover and payment routes.

04

You choose

Asking binds you to nothing. Should you go ahead, fitting normally takes a day or two.

Common questions

Questions about appearance, roof space and evenings.

Can all-black panels improve how the roof looks?

They can. All-black panels have dark cells, frames and backing, so the array reads as one even surface instead of a grid of silver lines. The difference is most noticeable on a dark tiled roof or one that faces the street. Output is comparable, and we show the options for your roof at survey.

Are high-output panels useful on smaller roof areas?

Often. Each square metre of a higher-rated panel yields more, so a compact roof can still reach a worthwhile total with fewer panels. The price per panel is higher, so we weigh the extra output against the extra cost before recommending it.

Can a battery help if the house is empty during working hours?

That is where a battery earns most. The panels produce while nobody is home, and the battery holds the surplus for the evening. We size it from your own routine, so you are not paying for more capacity than the household uses.

Sending this agrees nothing. If the roof looks like a good candidate, one of our team might ask a couple of questions before your options are drawn up.
